B&H is coming out with a very cool eight-volume book set containing the works of Augustine, Bunyan, Chesterton, Edwards, Luther, Murray, Spurgeon, and Wesley. The Legacy of Faith Library set features custom bound, leather editions with gilded edges, ribbon markers, and a careful typesetting, a total of nineteen books and is presented in a handcrafted, mahogany cradle. I would love to get my hands on one of these.
Check out this video that showcases the set:
You can preorder them through Lifeway.
Here’s a great article from Owen Strachan entitled If Everyone’s a Visionary, Why Do We All Sound So Alike?. My favorite quote is: “Here’s the deal: the way to stand out today isn’t to figure out a New Way to Be Human. It’s to embrace the old ways and traverse the old paths. You mark yourself out in our time when you push away from self-branding, when you obey God in the power of Christ, when you die to yourself, when you embrace maturity.”
Jonathan Leeman and Mark Dever’s 9 Marks podcast has been very helpful to me. I really enjoyed this last episode on How the “Senior Pastor” Relates to Other Pastors.
